I finally started tackling a streaming TV series this weekend, but I went with "Reacher" instead of "School Spirits".
I keep forgetting about "School Spirits."  I need to put it on the watch list.
I also decided to go
back and look at Y&R which I haven't watched since early March:
soaps: Y&R - A couple of episodes from the past three(?) weeks that I selected so that I could catch up on what I missed... Well, this is was dumb - Sharon and Filis[sic!] are rescued from captivity by Nick and Billy and Chance and the cops. (I thought this captivity drama would go on for months, but they wrapped it up in weeks.) And the kidnapper doesn't turn out to be Ian Ward... it looks like it's Traci Abbott's fiance, Alan the Shrink (or Alan's EVOL!1! twin brother pretending to be Alan!)! Why?! I have no idea!!... But in a bid to make me puke! Sharon and Filis's experience have made them buddies now, and enemies no more. [Hurl!!]
golf - I saw about 5 seconds of the Houston Open - the leaderboard was a lot of people I didn't know. And M.W. Lee was leading by 4 which means he probably has this locked up. I don't even know if I will watch this today...
March Madness - More disappointments. Texas Tech was *leading* by 10 with about 5 minutes in the game, and threw it all away and let Florida back in to win it. This tourney looks to be heading to a Final Four with all #1 seeds (which I would be only the second time this has happened - the first was back 2008).  :|
MLS soccer - I watched (most of) a MLS soccer game for the first time, off Apple TV+ - San Diego was playing L.A. This was a high scoring game (in the first half, anyway!), but San Diego actually won it! At one point they were up 3-0 after a little more than 30 mins into the game, but L.A. came back and scored two quick goals. Then no one scored in the second half. So San Diego wins, 3-2!!
Reacher (Prime) - Ep's #3.1 & 3.2. With the way the season premiere ep started off, I thought for sure something was up... Sure enough, much of it was staged, and Reacher was sent in, undercover, to investigate... Anthony Michael Hall! And Reacher is sent in by a DEA agent played by Sonya Cassidy - the good news is that she's not using her native British accent! the bad news is that she is *not* pulling off a convincing Boston accent either!! I don't know what accent that's supposed to be, but I don't hear Boston!... Anyway, I kind of don't like this set up any more than season #2's, as this isn't "Man Against Town" Reacher again (see season #1), but Reacher working with a "team" (as Cassidy has two other DEA types helping her). But it's better than S2 I guess, as Reacher is doing most of the work solo, with the DEAs just providing backup... In ep. #3.2, Reacher brutally murders a thug who knows too much like it's nothing!!

When that happened I was stunned.  At first I thought the guy was just unconscious, then I though maybe it was accident.  I mean Reacher wouldn't just murder a guy in cold blood would he?  Yeah, he would. Then you hear the bones crunching as he's folding him up.

 What did you watch?

I watched:
Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone (Tubi) 1983 sci-fi movie starring Peter Strauss as a bounty hunter who travels to a hostile planet run by Michael Ironside to save three women from Earth who crash landed there.  Strauss teams up with a young Molly Ringwald and Ernie Hudson so save the day.  I haven't watched this since the 80s.  I was shocked by how much of it came back to me as I watched, and how surprisingly watchable it turned out to be.  I watched "Cherry 2000" on Friday and the two movies have very similar plot lines of man being guided through wasteland by woman or in this case a teenage girl.
Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn (blu-ray) 1983 sci-fi movie.  I wasn't paying attention to the plot, I don't know, stuff happened I guess.  This is another 80s flick I watched all the time on TV in the 80s, and I could never tell the difference between this one and Spacehunter.  Now that I've watched them back to back, Spacehunter was by far the better of the two movies.  I watched Metalstorm a few years ago in 3D, and it was a horrible viewing experience.  This time I went for the 2D option and the picture quality was fine, but I had already made up my mind I wasn't going to pay attention to the movie.
The Ice Pirates (blu-ray) 1984 sci-fi comedy starring Robert Ulich as a space pirate who chases after a space princess while trying to avoid catching space herpes.
Spaceballs (4K disc) 1987 sci-fi comedy starring Bill Pullman as Lone Star a man who must do battle with his father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate in order to save the day.
Galaxy Quest (4K disc) 1999 sci-fi comedy starring Tim Allen, Alan Rickman, Sam Rockwell, and Sigourney Weaver as actors on an old Sci-fi TV show who along with several other castmates from their show get recruited by aliens who think the show is real and want the actors to engage in a real life Battle Beyond the Stars.  "By Grabthar's Hammer, by the Suns of Warvan, you shall be avenged!"
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (blu-ray) 2005 sci-fi comedy starring Martin Freeman as a man who is rescued by his best friend (Mos Def) who turns out to be an alien from the destruction of Earth.  The two then go on adventures through space and time.  Coincidentally this movie also stars Alan Rickman and Sam Rockwell who were also in "Galaxy Quest."  I guess it's an OK movie.  It certainly looks nice.  But the problem is, although I never read the original book, I did watch the original BBC miniseries based on the book.  So I can't help but compare it to that series. Even though on a technical level this movie outclasses the low budget BBC series, the BBC series was at least (as far as I know) complete, whereas this movie just sort of stops half way through, setting up a sequel that was never made.
