It took me all morning (longer than expected) to do a work thing which meant I wasn't going to be watching much TV yesterday. I put golf on, watched soaps, and again watched "Suits LA" which seems to be the one network show this season that is scheduled such that I can easily watch it:
 soaps: Fri's ep's.
DOOL - Stephanie doesn't choke, and tells Alex the truth - that Philip's claim to Titan is a fraud. Stephanie begs Alex not to expose this, but Alex, having been subject to a similar lie not so long ago, wants to tell Xander the truth. But, like a boob, Alex knuckles under to Stephanie, Sarah and Philip, and doesn't tell Xander, sticking with the "affair" lie. Meanwhile, everybody seems to show up in Estonia to rescue John, as does Orpheus who I guess is going to be the guy who kills John.
GH - This episode was mostly a snooze. Much of it was taken up with more nonsense about the Quartermaine crypt, which really isn't worth rehashing... Meanwhile, an irate Kristina again berates Ava (which Ric secretly witnesses), but unsurprisingly Ava again gets the best of Kristina, who retaliates by cutting what she thinks is Ava's brake line. Instead, it is Ric's, which causes Ric and Lizzie to get into an accident!
golf - The leaderboard was pretty well shuffled on the last day, with the names I didn't recognize on the leaderboard from Day 3 being replaced by names I did... Still, Day 3 leader Min Woo Lee, whom I didn't realize before (or had forgotten) was Australian, at one point had a 4-stroke lead on the final day. But he later hit into the water, which cost him a stroke. Meanwhile, Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland(!) surged on the last day. But M.W. Lee held them off to win by one, winning his first PGA event.
I put "Tracker" on in the background after dinner - it was some nonsense where they send Sofia Pernas into prison for some reason. I really wasn't paying attention.
Suits LA - This also guest-starred Sofia Pernas!!... This seemed more like the season finale(!?!) - the multi-episode murder case with Kevin Weisman was resolved with Stephen Amell winning it (duh!). The ending on this was so over-the-top, that it almost played like a spoof... Anyway, everyone seemed to bury the hatchets, although the two law firms didn't remerge, so this played like a season finale as I'm not sure what story there is left to tell!
 What did you watch?

I watched:
Lost in Space (blu-ray) 1998 sci-fi movie based on the 60s TV show.  The movie version stars William Hut as Professor John Robinson, Mini Rogers as his wife, Heather Graham and Lacy Chabert as their daughters Judy and Penny Robinson and Jack Johnson as their brilliant son Will Robinson. Matt LeBlanc plays the ship's pilot Major Don Westt, with Gary Oldman as the villain Doctor Zachary Smith.  Dick Tufeld reprises his role from the original 60s show as the voice of the robot.
I haven't watched this in a long time.  Watching it again I had the exact same frustration from the original release.  The first half of the movie is actually pretty good, even with the 90s CGI.  Just like the original TV series, the family is launched into space on a mission to colonize a distant planet, Doctor Smith reprograms the robot to kill them all, they let Smith live so he can more bad things to them.  But the the second half of the movie gets bogged down in time travel nonsense.  And I'm saying that as someone who loves time travel stories, but it just doesn't work here.  And the time travel story is clearly building up to bring back original actor Bill Mumy to play the adult version of Will Robinson, except they cast Jared Harris in the role instead, at which pint the movie just hits a brick wall.  Why is Jared Harris there instead of Bill Mummy?!?  NO!!!!!  The execs at New Line seriously just needed to write a blank check to pay Mumy *and* Jonathan Harris (who was still alive when this movie was made!) whatever they wanted to be in it.  Even with the stupid time travel nonsense, had the two of them been in the movie it would have been so much better. Anyway, this new blu-ray version is based off a new scan and it looks great. You can see the bad 90s CGI even more clearly now.  They should have taken the money they spent on the bad CGI to pay for the cameos and used the left overs for practical effects.
Cobra Kai (Netflix) I binged through episode 5, 6, and 7 of season 6. There are so many characters and overlapping plot lines this show is hard to recap.  Basically Johnny and Daniel and the selected students are now in Barcelona for the tournament.  Johnny and Daniel are bickering over whose fight philosophy to use.  One of their best students has her mother die and as a result she wants to fight through the grief.  Johnny is fully on board with this but Daniel forces her to take a break.  But instead she runs straight into the arms of Kreese (who has had the escape from prison charges somehow dropped) and joins Cobra Kai (the evil version).  There are so many subplots I can't list them all!  But two of the highlights include Daniel being kidnapped then escaping and Johnny and Miguel flying back to the States due to Miguel's mom having a medical emergency, which opens the door for a new student to fly over and take his place.  I should also mention the tournament they are competing in is ridiculous.  I have no idea if these are real rules from real tournaments, but I certainly hope not!
