For what it's worth, Midnight has expressed her disapproval of the creation
of giant ravenous dogs. She feels we need to recreate some saber-tooth cats
also to maintain the balance of power.

https://people.com/extinct-direwolves-revived-by-colossal-science-company-after-game-of-thrones-11710221In an announcement straight out of ancient history-- or the pages of a
George R. R. Martin novel-- a leading genetics company says it has
essentially revived the extinct dire wolves that famously appeared in GAME
OF THRONES.
Meet Romulus, Remus and, yes, Khalessi: three young dire wolves being
raised in an undisclosed nature preserve that Colossal Biosciences
describes as carrying the traits of the long-lost giant canines.
Their successful creation, which had been a closely guarded secret until
this week, is the next step in what Colossal has termed its de-extinction
project.
The company uses gene editing to modify the traits of existing animals to
the point that their DNA becomes, essentially, that of lost animals.
"Our team took DNA from a 13,000-year-old tooth and a 72,000-year-old skull
and made healthy dire wolf puppies," Colossal CEO and co-founder Ben Lamm
said in a statement on Monday, April 7.
