has issued a public plea for Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos to speak out against
President Donald Trump.
 
The 65-year-old actor spoke with Variety about his turmoil, including his
opinion that the United States is turning into the fictional world of Gilead
under the Trump administration. “It’s interesting,” he told the outlet in an
interview published Tuesday. “Especially when you look at all the people who
I’ve worked for over the years lined up at the Trump inauguration, staying
silent while their daughters’ rights are being torn away.”

Of course they are staying silent. I bet most agree with Whitford but
they are businessmen running large companies are going to do what is
best for the company. In this case it means staying on Trump's good
side which is why you saw so many of them standing beside Trump when I
doubt any of them truly like the man. Hell even Musk has started to
speak out against some of what Trump is doing such as the tariffs.
To expect someone like Bezos to do something that would hurt Amazon is
really asking too much. I'm sure he does care about his workers since
his business depends upon them, but not at the cost of hurting the
bottom line.
