The main issue with the Flash is that the �message got VERY REPETITIVE� you can only have so many seasons
and so many episodes before you run out of ideas. That�s why we have the meme quotes of:

�I can�t go that fast� proceeds to goes that fast
�We can�t kill Thawne (cause we need him in future seasons for views�

Doctor Who ended in 2017 when they announced Jodie as taking over the role. 
We knew what was coming, and it proved to be even worse than we could have
thought.  The show has been woke parody since 2018.  So in that regard the
BBC and Davies can do whatever they want, it's not and has never been Doctor
Who.  But any revamp/reboot/restart 100% requires hard retcon of everything
produced after Capaldi and starting fresh from his end.  I hope that happens
some day, but it's going to be a while before that day comes.
