Taking over campus property, whether it be a quad or a building or a
classroom, vandalism, assault, theft, ethnic intimidation, etc. all of those
are crimes and all of that was done under the banner of "supporting Gaza" on
universities across the nation and none of it is protected under the 1st
Amendment. To the extent Khalil was responsible for organizing and
participating in that activity, he rightly deserves his deportation.

The Trump administration isn't attempting to prove that he's part of a
conspiracy to commit those crimes, and no one came up with video footage
of him participating in criminal activity.

I suspect that he was told to keep his hands clean. He's a popular
athlete that Hamas wanted to use as spokesman.

That's likely the basis for the determination that Rubio made.

I'm questioning whether the constitutional conflict between the
president's power over foreign affairs and free speech/press rights would
be resolved in favor of the speaker or the president. I'm setting aside
my personal contempt for Khalil in wondering if his speech/press rights
were unconstitutionally infringed by the president.
