As long as Trump can point to this, he'll continue to yank student visas
of people who are NOT causing trouble while patting himself on the back
claiming to crack down on anti-Semitism.

In the meantime, the protestors are effectively keeping Hamas in power
which means there's no solution for the starving people of Gaza.

Keeping Hamas in power IS NOT a solution for Palestinians. Getting rid
of them and freeing the hostages -- any that are still alive -- must be
a prerequisite for actual peace.

Both Trump and the protestors are in the wrong.

I don't understand: What would you like Trump to do? Leave the
protesters alone to spew their nonsense?

Trump has been cancelling student visas for people who are not
criminals, or possibly because of traffic citations. There have been
student visas cancelled for those without arrest records. It's a
violation of due process.

Also, there's a comment I've seen under various videos that implies that
visa students who aren't causing trouble are not as innocuous as they
might seem: Radical islamists are the snakes in the grass; moderate
Muslims are the grass.

Ok. I cannot judge someone on his thoughts but his actions. If they
committed crimes, they can be deported. Otherwise, let them finish their
degrees without cancelling their student visas.

I know that the Koran calls for all Muslims to bring all non-Muslims to
Allah. I *don't* know how seriously "moderate" Muslims still take that
demand of their religion. Do they all secretly believe it and work for
it or is some significant percentage of them happy to practice tolerance
to other religions (and the irreligious)? It's very hard to know what is
in someone's heart.

I agree. Nevertheless, unless they commit a public nuisance or an act of
discrimination or deny someone free exercise of religion or commit a
crime in doing so, leave them be.
