Fringe S1E20 'There's More Than One of Everything'. Season finale.
Is this the one where they reference the alternate version of "Back to the Future"?
IMDb
sez: "David Robert Jones comes out of hiding following an attempt on Nina Sharp's life while Walter leaves accompanied by the mysterious Observer."
The glyphs in this episode spell "Grave".
Agent Olivia Dunham: Why don't we go straight to the source and bring William Bell in for questioning now?
Phillip Broyles: At this point, I don't think that...
Agent Olivia Dunham: [interrupts] We have solid intelligence that William Bell is funding these horrific events that we've seen, most of which have been carried out by Jones.
Phillip Broyles: I'm not...
Agent Olivia Dunham: [interrupts] ... at this point, I don't care how powerful William Bell is or how deep his political connections go, he is not above the law.
Phillip Broyles: Dunham...
Agent Olivia Dunham: [interrupts] Sir, with all due respect, I have too much in this, professionally and personally, that if you stand in the way now, I...
Phillip Broyles: [forcefully interrupts] Dunham! I came in here to begin making the calls I'm going to need to make in order to get the interview that we both agree is necessary.
Phillip Broyles: [exasperatedly] And I would also request that you stop cutting me off every time I'm about to tell you to stop drilling, you've struck oil, as I was going to do when we first came through that door.
And a couple of disc "behind the scenes" extras.
Did they discuss the original plan for the Observers? I get the feeling they retconned them in later seasons.
What Did You Watch?
This will be a multi-day catch up. I watched:
Andor (Disney+) The next batch of three episodes dropped.
"Messenger" - Episode 7. Meh!
"Who Are You?" - Episode 8. Things definitely picked up with this one and they showed the Empire's massacre on Ghorman. We also saw some familiar looking imperial droids.
"Welcome to the Rebellion" - Episode 9 details the aftermath of the massacre, and Mon Mothma steps up to openly oppose Palpatine. My jaw dropped when she said his name on the senate floor. She went there!
Star Wars Rebels (Disney+) - "Secret Cargo" - Season 3, Episode 18. Someone posted online to watch this episode of "Rebels" immediately after Andor, episode 9. Even though this episode came out in 2017, it syncs up perfectly with episode 9 of "Andor" and shows what happened next, and how Mon Mothma became one of the key leaders of the rebel alliance.
Law & Order: Organized Crime (Peacock) - "Dante's Inferno" - Season 5, episode 2. This is the episode from a few weeks ago. It was mostly background noise. Thanks to the move to Peacock, I'm way behind on this.
Law & Order - "Tough Love" - The team investigate the murder of a sports agent. I won't bother with more of a recap. It would be nice if they could tell a story that didn't involve unnecessary twists and stupid legal maneuvers.
Law & order: SVU - "Aperture" - Team SVU spring into action when a brother and sister are kidnapped and sexually assaulted at gunpoint. But the siblings are surprisingly not cooperative in helping SVU pursue the case. I actually caught on to what was happening early on thanks to a movie I once saw with a similar plot.
Beat Street (TCM) 1984 movie about some young people in New York who like to break dance and spray paint graffiti on trains. I know I saw this once or twice before, but I can never remember it that well, and it jumbles in my mind with "Breakin'" Although I think I can sort of remember this is the one where someone gets electrocuted.
The Righteous Gemstones - "That Man of God May Be Complete" - Season finale. I haven't been mentioning when I watch this show. I'll just say the finale was a wild ride.
Sherlock & Daughter - Already covered by anim8rfsk.
