 At least somebody finally told the silly daughter that the reason Sherlock
claimed he never met her mother was because she was using a different name!
  

But didn't she show him a picture?  The proper response would be I know that woman, but when I knew her she went by a different name.  Or she looks like someone I knew, but that's not her name.  The comment about the daughter potentially being a con artist made more sense.
