The UK largely objected to Poles moving there, obviously not illegal
immigration. But most of the immigration was from the British Empire or

I thought I had made it clear that I was talking about illegals.

It's not clear to me what how Brexit is an answer to that.

Bottom line is that if someone enters the country and outstays their
visa - particularly if the evidence (for instance a paycheck stub)
points to their intent to stay - they should be in on the next boat
out.

Preferably a very very slow boat oat that won't arrive at their
homeland for a long time - they don't deserve a fast trip home.

Ok. In or out of the EU, they should be able to deport an illegal alien.

I have no problem if they enter legally as my daughter did when she
emigrated to the UK 11 years ago. It was a long process considerably
slower than arriving from France via the Channel.
