 It gets worse. Hulu is owned by Disney while HBO is owned by Warner Brothers.  :-)
 BUT the show will play on Hulu.

Yeah, so why didn't they just say "HBO-produced series for Hulu". Then it would have been clear what they were saying.

 They haven't actually written any scripts for yet. They only got the pilot order earlier this year.

Still shouldn't take anywhere near that long.
Old TV model:
- Pilot episode filmed some time in early Spring (March-ish?)
- Networks go through pilots soon after (April-ish?)
- Fall lineup announced in May
- scripts written in June(-July?)
- filming of episodes starts late summer (c.August)
- TV show premieres in Sept. or at latest in October
Again, there is *no excuse* for *a year and a half* to get episodes released.
They are killing television with this bullshit.
Streaming has failed. Utterly.
