Interestingly, there seems to be suspicion that her departure was less
than amicable, but without specifics (I could find). However, that
departure -- at the end of season 2 -- was hinted for several episodes.
Mitra tweeted at the time that her parting from the show was not her idea, nor
was it amicable.
Little known factoid: Rhona was the original model for Lara Croft, then when
it came time for the movie, she was passed over for that crone Angelina
Jolie.
