It's been a while, but IIRC wasn't Schumacher excluded from the entire
1997 championship for a similar act?
Excluded from the WDC (stripped of all points, retained all wins and
other finishing positions) for driving into Villeneuve at the season-
ending GP in Jerez.
I'd forgotten that, and I was thinking of it only in terms of being
banned from races after the incident.
