In-car listening has declined to 27% in 2024 (down from 45% in 2017).
AM/FM still leads automotive at 34% but it's declining at about -3% YoY.
Spotify & SiriusXM each have 21% of the automotive listening market.
Some of that are bundles that the article claims is "forcibly bundled".
It's a bit confusing of an article though, if you just skim it (as I did).
Nobody forced me to get any bundles that I know of.
Did they force you?
Typical AM/FM radio is 50 minutes of advertising and 10 minutes of program. I don't listen to it any more either. One day it will be all advertising and no listeners.
