I'm trying to help a neighbor's kid by ordering four spark plugs for his
2004 Mitsubishi Lancer ES 2.0L, and I see *lots* of spark plugs that fit.
But where can I get a lookup table that lists all (or most) so that we can
then go on Amazon to find the lowest price plug that simply fits the car?
Almost any 5/8" spark plug will fit. Doesn't mean it's the right spark
plug for your car in your environment.
Every size of spark plugs comes in a multiplicity of heat ranges.
Plugs too cold ---> fouled cruddy plugs, incomplete combustion.
Plugs too hot ---> burned electrodes, burned valves, piston damage.
The first thing you should have done was read your owner's manual and
see what the mfr recommends for your climate. Manuals are available
online.
RTFM before asking the ignoratti. I can't believe no one gave you a
sensible answer.
