Fortunately NY laws kept the victim from returning fire, else it could
have been a tragedy for the hapless juveniles, damaged by society's
failures.

This is what happens if you saturate society with guns.
According to the article, all of the criminals were teens.
It's probably easier to buy a stolen gun that a bottle of beer.

But gosh, no "good guy with a gun" was able to stop the shooting? How
can that be?
I'm glad the laws kept him from returning fire. Imagine a 75
year old with blood clouding his eyesight emptying a 15 round magazine
into what he "thought" were the "bad guys".
As it turns out, no-one died and the criminals were caught.
