I've gotten into discussions about guns with one of my best friends, who
is a hunter and with whom I've done some target shooting on the rural
property he recently sold. He shares my disdain for ARs, and he also
believes they are not well optimized for hunting. He, as well as other
sources, have said that if you need a burst of gunfire to take your
game, it's a sign of incompetence.

The sad part is Frankie's "Straw Men" don't know what they are talking
about either. An AR doesn't fire "a burst of gunfire". It fires one
shot.

And they certainly must be "straw men" as anyone that knows which end
the bullet comes out of knows that.
