Bud I do not prefer those back roads*) and paths used by drunk drivers,
trying to avoid getting caught, either.

Not many drunk drivers when I'm riding the back roads. I'm usually
finished riding by early afternoon.
Seems to be rapidly declining (drink driving) and has been socially
unacceptable for my lifetime, perhaps Germany which is quite car centric,
see the mandatory bike lanes ie one has to use them as apposed to UK and I
believe American where Mandatory means cars cant use it but bikes are
free to choose.

Other than the limited access and interstates, I've never seen a
street or road where bicycles were not allowed. I suppose there might
be such a thing. Some local government officials are morons.
