Krygowski is fear mongering, now. <LOL>
Perhaps, but most probably not. But as least he isn't stupid and
impertinent.
Don't be afraid, little man.
People have been carrying guns ever since they were invented. Before
that, they carried other items that were capable of severely harming
or killing another human being.
Oh really? So tell me, what is the use of owning an expensive gun, when
a cheap screwdriver would do?
Well :-) With a screw driver you have to get REAL close to do any
damage but with a pistol you can stand off and do even more damage -
Standard U.S. pistol target shooting matches are fired at 50 and 25
Yards.
Thanks for anticipating my point. Guns in private hands makes killing
other people from a distance, just out of paranoia, far to easy.
Believing that there are people who want to kill you from a distance
is an example of paranoia.
You don't want to get too close and get blood sprinkled all over your
new Levies, do you? 550's are almost $60 a pair these days.
And I don't want guns in the hands of people who enjoy disgusting jokes
like this one. Even lessn, if it isn't in fakt joke. Who knows?.
Guns in private hands sometimes alleviates the problem of law
enforcement being only minutes away when you need it right now.
Thats just self justification for I want to have a gun.
Unless someone is trained the chances of a have a go hero successfully
fending off seems slim at best.
In uk career criminals keep well away from guns as use of a gun means the
firearms police will be called and these are very serious and well trained
and so your chance of surviving a encounter ie essentially they will
neutralise (kill) if you pose any threat, even a suggestion of a gun.

Very rarely do get folks using guns but again this is a dumb move at best
means they are guaranteed a long prison sentence at worse they end up
encountering said firearms officers.

Bit like number of other things from EV to bike infrastructure gun use and
crime doesnt have to be that way.
