I was wondering why the pros use the V4R rather than the super expensive C60.

Because that's what the sponsor supplied. If a rider strongly prefers something else, it will have paint and graphics just like the sponsor's other bikes.

Not only that....

"the V4Rs is a bike designed and optimised for use by professional racers. More rigid and lighter, it suits highly powerful racers with extremely flexible muscles and joints. The C68, on the other hand, is designed for maximum riding pleasure: a snappy and responsive bike that calls for speed, with the perfect balance that a racing bike should have between enjoyment and performance."

That's an excellent example of bicycle ad copy, "Rigid, yet flexible!"
I interpreted it differently. It seems the suggestion is that the VR4 is lighter and stiffer, optimized for those professionals who are themselves "extremely flexible", rather than your average middle-aged weekend warrior with $12K of disposable income who might consider the ride extremely harsh because they _aren't_ "extremely flexible".
Anecdote- I managed to purchase a 1st generation Scott CR-1 (Saunier Duval Team Model) from one of those middle-aged weekend warriors in about 2007. He didn't race, and his complaint was that it was too twitchy and harsh, especially compared to his Colnago C40 he had at the time as well. I fell in love with it from the first ride and raced it for over ten years, quite possibly the best bike I've ever ridden.
