This is once again in the courts.

 But as I've mentioned  a number of times my family has had guns for at
least 4 generations, as close as I can calculate 300 years or so, and
never shot anyone. Why does Frankie want to penalize us?

No one said anything about taking away traditional hunting rifles and shotguns.

 But, perhaps more germane is the current view is that  many, perhaps
most, school shootings are "copy cat" acts  and that the News and
others that publicizing these acts may be, at least in part,
responsible for these events.
