Based on your posts, you carry the gun because you're so afraid someone might attack you. If that very unlikely event happened, you would at least threaten to shoot at them. It's silly to pretend otherwise.
Note that nobody else here has expressed fear of such an attack (in your case, by whom? A mom pushing a stroller?). Nobody else here has admitted riding only while carrying a gun. Nobody else here is that fearful.
