Trichloroethane is excellent for cleaning and as a bonus it won't burn. Not readily at least.  Our vendor said it was discontinued due to regulation years ago.

which is more expensive and a virtual flamethrower in a sprayer; shoots fire a meter and a half at 100  psi (which can be seen as entertainment). In regular daily use, brake cleaner is a fire hazard and attention need be paid to that.
