Tom, your mother's obituaries at:
<https://www.grissomsmortuary.com/obituaries/detail/violet-kunich>
<https://www.echovita.com/us/obituaries/ca/san-leandro/violet-kunich-8572417>
show that your math doesn't work.  If your older brother is really 85
years old today, and your mother, had she lived, would be:
    87 + (2024 - 2019) = 87 + 5 = 92 years old today, then your mother
was only:
    92 - 85 = 7 years old
when your older brother was born.
>
Another way to look at it is your brother would have been:
    85 - (2024 - 2019) = 80 years old when your mother died at age 87.

I don't believe you have an older brother.  However, it's difficult to
tell from your mother's obituary because the name of the alleged
brother is listed as Ted (Jennifer) Kunich, which could be a brother
or sister.

You might also want to fix the above Grissom Mortuary obituary text,
which claims that she was:
"Violet is survived by her husband of 23 years, John Kunich..."
John Kunich died in 1987:
<https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10002-88144066/john-a-kunich-in-us-social-security-death-index-ssdi>

further to that point, tom is 80? that would have made his mother 12
when she had him?

Close.  Tom claims he was born in Oct, 1944.  That makes him 79.5
years old.

Tom's mother, Violet Kunich, was born January 19, 1931.  Tom was born
in Oct, 1944.  The difference is 13.7 years.  Getting pregnant at 12
or 13 is possible, but it's risky and unusual.
"What's the youngest age that a person can get pregnant and give
birth?"
<https://www.livescience.com/youngest-age-give-birth-pregnancy>
"The complications, the morbidity and the mortality are much higher in
girls under 15 than girls 16 to 19, although 16 to 19 has a mortality
twice as high as women 20 and above"

I don't know what to think about the mess I've uncovered.  There are
some obvious mistakes and discrepancies.  To deal with such things, I
typically use Occam's Razor, which applied here means that the fewest
number of changes that make the dates and names work, is probably
correct.  Unfortunately, that works best when there's only one error.
In this mess, it appears to me that EVERYTHING is wrong.  The only
numbers I can trust are those provided by official documents and
databases.  The dates in both obituaries were presumably provided by
family members, so those cannot be considered authoritative.  Using
probability that a number is correct isn't going to work when almost
all the dates and numbers are likely to be wrong.  I'm not even sure
if there are one or two Tom's:

"...there is a man with the SAME NAME and SAME AGE as me. I stated
that I received his mail when he lived in San Leandro and personally
took it to his proper address..."

lol...what a load of horseshit....Next he'll tell us he's a chimera.

The plot thickens.

<https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/eastbaytimes/name/katie-lupori-obituary?id=28146179>
Katie Lupori was the sister of Tom's father (John Kunich).  The
obituary lists:
"sister-in-law Violet Kunich of San Leandro, CA"
and
"nephews Ted and John Kunich of Pleasanton, CA"
Note the names Ted and John Kunich.

Yet, when someone wrote the two obituaries for Tom's mother (Violet
Kunich), Ted was magically converted from Tom's father in law and John
became one of his son's in:
<https://www.grissomsmortuary.com/obituaries/detail/violet-kunich>
"Violet is survived by her husband of 23 years, John Kunich; children
Ted (Jennifer) Kunich and John (Mike) Kunich; and grandchildren"
No clue (yet) about why there were two John's or who Jennifer might
be.

I think there is enough data to produce a preliminary bad guess(tm). I
worked for a time in a mortuary (pushing a broom).  We had templates
for the different types of obituaries.  Much like these:
<https://www.betterplaceforests.com/blog/short-obituary-examples/>
Someone, probably Tom, filled in the obituary forms with erroneous
information.  The biggest error was not including Tom as one of Violet
Kunich's children.  The result is the tangle of names, dates, ages,
etc that I'm dealing with.  What a mess.

Reminder:  This isn't the first time I've had help Tom fix his dates.
When I first saw his LinkedIn resume, there were several time spans
when Tom was working at two jobs simultaneously.

Overlapping employment date ranges and resume edits.

To his credit, Tom corrected the overlapping employment dates.
