That is probably cenbtered in the newsreader.
Were you using pan? That happened to me, blank pages.
I had to delete all instances of pan from my laptop and re-install it.
Then it worked again.

I use it from my Linux platform. For a while I used Thunderbird
but I hated it. Then I found out how to revive pan.
