I need to replace a shimano sora FD that spring broke. The options for a triple 3 X 8 all have max tooth at 48. This has 52 and is an integrated FD with clamp attached 28.6mm seat tube. Would they still work or what are options? This a Fuji road bike so that seems to be the rub.
That distinction is called 'full size' vs 'compact' triple.
I think you meant the derailleur mounts to a brazed tab on the seat tube, yes?
Closest Shimano product is FD-4703 Tiagra rated 50t (but will shift fine on a 52):
https://bike.shimano.com/en-US/product/component/tiagra-4700/FD-4703-F.htmlThere are also aftermarket Shimano type full size BZ triples. We carry one from SOMA.
If it clamps to the frame there are other choices. Write or call me.
