I think you miss the point.
 
If one has an auto and a motorcycle does he actually require a third
transportation  device?  After all,millions of people,world wide, get
by with only one :-)
 
And don't forget one's feet :-) When I was and  in school I walked a
mile (1.6 KM) to school each morning and another mile  home in the
evening.

I sometimes walked to shool, sometimes I rode my bicycle, sometimes I
rode my horse.  In really bad weather, (northern Illinois)
neighborhood mothers took turns driving us.
