Anyone here had a detached retina? Given the age group might be likely. I would like to hear anything. Mine did last week and went in Friday Vitrectomy and gas bubble exchange. Was in upper part of retina they put in citrous oxide gas. Now have this bubble over my vison in the eye. It was good distance eye too.
Not specifically but girlfriend had retinal occlusions removed from both eyes (a month apart). The post surgical protocol was miserable and lasted ten days to two weeks. The worst part was being told to keep her face parallel to the floor at all times for 10 days to aid healing. That meant someone had to be there at all times and I'm grateful for her friends for taking up many of those shifts. Best wishes and I hope your recovery is less daunting.
