Tell us all what you actually know about quick releases? It is amazing the you continue to show just how uneducated you are on new components.

Which sort of quick release do you want to discuss? I recently posted a
photo of a very unusual failure of a friend's internal cam quick release
mechanism. Would you like me to discuss the mechanical advantage of such
a system, the source of the over-center action and the reason for it,
the history of the design, the inferior "modern" variants, or what?

Frank, I was talking about a quick release chain link. They have a limited lifespan and the factory recommends replacing them with every new chain but I assumed this was plain when I mentioned Connex but you must not be fammiliar with that brand name.
https://www.bikeradar.com/advice/workshop/chain-quick-links"Quick links are sometimes known as a connecting pin, missing link, master link, power link or spare link."
Note the missing term "quick release".
We now have two authoritative sources showing tommy is wrong, yet again. (Andrew and Bike Radar).
Give it up tommy....
