Well, as I mentioned a 33 round magazine is available for 3 models of
Glock, for $33.99 and the same company offers a 30 round for the model
20 ands 20 for $19.99.
So yes pistols can fire as many rounds during a minute. as an AR.

But in part I believe you may be "in the ball park".

I've been doing some research on "who are these mass shooters" and
disregarding their intent on suicide, which many evidence, most,if not
all, seem of less then average intelligence and all seem to have no or
extremely limited knowledge of firearms. Much like you.

So here is some fool that is unhappy with his life, doing poorly at
school, with no knowledge of firearm, and has finally decided to  "do
the deed" what does he do? Why, get on the Web of course and amazingly
he finds a pseudo expert who tells him that the AR is the most deadly
thing  since the atom bomb was dropped on Japan. So he goes down to
the gun shop and AMAZING these devils weapons are cheap! $400 new and
$300 used.

So guess what,  he buys an AR and you get to complain even louder
about the deadly AR. Which you effetely  "recommended".
