 The fronts have a traffic light plus mode/run time and last 24 ish hours so

etc at best when they reach 20% or so.
 The above apart from auto start/stop with the Garmin displays the battery
level which removes some of the hassle with commuting, for MTB/Gravel rides
doesn’t matter as the light (rear) is a cheap option that seems to last but
I just charge after use and so isn’t a worry.

:-)  The three speed, about-town utility bike I built up has lights that "automatically turn on when you start a ride, and turn off when you end a ride." If, that is, I have the headlight switch pushed to the right. It's got a Sturmey-Archer front Dynohub driving period head and tail lights, fitted with LEDs.
