None of this rebuts my point. Fox News is all about making people
afraid. I can't comment on local Fox chapters vs. cable channels, since
I get very little news from the TV; but I suspect they're similar.
Firstly I have never watched/read Fox News but if Fox News is all
about making people afraid then my question is "why"? Does making
people afraid "sell more newspapers"?
Yes, it sells more newspapers, it generates more "eyeballs" or attention
onscreen and online which generates more ad revenue, it gets customers
coming back to monitor what's happening with the latest dire crisis.

How much would you like to read about that?

Good grief. Krygowsky gets his news from online bloggers? No wonder
he's such a nutcase.
Fox News is commonly known as the worst.
Liberals hate and fear Fox News because they refuse to go along with
all the far left fear mongering and lies that most of the other news
sources spout about Donald Trump. That makes them very popular.
Fox News has about the same number of viewers as the other two cable
news networks, CNN and MSNBC combined.

I'm unfamiliar with Sheriff Judd's Polk County but it looks
as if the television market is covered by Tampa and Orlando
(?correct me if that's not right).

Looking at top Florida outlets the largest viewership

Two Univision stations in Orlando and Tampa are in the top 10.

I see most news videos with Mr Judd are on WFLA 13 Tampa (NBC).

I don't see the central Florida market dominated by Fox
affiliates. (again, this from a cursory search. correct me.)
