At that time we weren't bombing people - we were bombing SAM sites and they were helpless againat us since our electronic countermeasures eliminated their guidance systems.

Did you notice tommy keeps saying how he was on TDY in a "war zone", but never says where that actually was?
My father was in ASA. He did a number of TDY assignments. One night about 15 years ago we were at my parents hose for dinner. After dinner he showed us a letter he had recently received informing him that certain missions he undertook had been declassified. Those missions were forays into Cambodia in the early 1970s to gather intelligence on VC positions and movements. Three of the TRY assignments he went on during that period were into Cambodia.
I remember at the time when he left for the TDY assignments, he wasn't allowed to tell us where he was going, only that it would be a few months.

 

You were one of the horses asses protesting the war weren't you. Rathet than VOTING for someone that would  end that useless war started by the CIA, you just marched around feeling like you were doing something.
