Re: End of year and the flu.

 I'd hoped to get at least one more ride in before the end of the year,
but on the 27th, the day I'd scheduled a ride, my wife woke up with a
terrible case of influenza. She had a terrible dry cough, a high
temperature, nausea, and was weakened to the point of not being able
to walk. I rushed her to the hospital and there she and I sat until
yesterday afternoon when she'd recovered enough to come home.
 We'd spent Christmas day at relatives home, and come to find out,
almost everyone at that get together was now suffering the flu. Even
though I'm ten years older than my wife, and at 80 years old, most
likely more vulnerable to such things, I seem to have escaped the
nasty thing.
 The flu going around this year seems to be particularly bad, so
everyone beware.
 So now, with rain predicted for today and tomorrow, my total ride data
for 2024 will close out at only 43 rides and 2103 miles.
