Yup interesting stuff, I’d not persisted with TPU tubes, as on the Gravel
bike tubeless has solved that, and TPU seem to puncture just as easily as
butyl
I’ve toyed with idea of the MTB as with that and it’s burly tires punctures
aren’t a thing, but on the other hand would one notice the difference with
a TPU tube in terms of feel?
Hence I’ve chosen to not fix what isn’t broke for time being.

I swap tyres fairly often on my gravel bike. Some 30mm road slicks,
40mm light gravel, 45mm for rougher gravel, etc. I don't want to be
messing around with liquid sealant.
We use 28mm Conti GP5000 S-TR on both bikes, with sealant from
Continental, tire pressure around 4 bar. Wide enough, because we avoid
unpaved roads and prefer riding on asphalt roads, the smoother the
pavement, the better. Before retirement, with another bike and while
commuting all over the year, I changed between two different wheel sets
twice a year, both haveing 35/38 mm tires. Now we ride only under
preferable conditions only, dry weather and temperatures above ten
degrees (Celsius). So one set of tires fits all our needs. Didn't have
flats, so far.
For the two bikes I built in early 2023 I used a gravel bike frame and
mixture of road and MTB components, similar to what is shown in

I bought the necessary components separately, not as a mullet kit,
though. 10-52 on the rear, Force components, AXS Quarq single-sided
power meter for her (I moved the powermeter pedals from my old road
bike), various chainrings from 32 to 48 teeth. Currently 32T on her and
38T on my bike.
