was still full.  Not enough suspension can cause loses.
 

I’ve replaced a bottle cage holder recently as while nice and shiny, didn’t
grip the bottle with the same secure seal, ie could move the bottle around
and this being the MTB while it does have suspension it also takes the hits
ie much more likely to eject a bottle though I only use the bottle for 3/4
months once it warms up/longer rides I use the hydration pack.
