Gosh, I'd forgotten that before Obama you didn't need a college degree to qualify for the Professional Engineer's license, or permission to take the qualifying exams. I'd also forgotten that you could get almost any job with no college degree. I'd forgotten that everyone from physicians to rocket scientists to researchers in mathematics, to biologists and hydrologists were all people who just "read out libraries" on their own.
