Very pretty which is really the point, can still get just about premium
26inch tyres, and with some choice, as long as it’s a tyre that has been
around a while like the Magic Mary which has been around a decade or so,
been updated every few years.

So can get cheaper versions for trashing aka the Bikepark versions and ones
for Trail riding and up to Downhill variants ie heavier and better
protection.
Though not with brand new models but can get tyres that such as the Magic
Mary that excel in the slop and are grip monsters! Or conversely stuff like
the Racing Ralph which are for the XC whippets and stuff in between.
So while 26inch bikes are hard to find sold, though are used by trikes and
so on, is still some some choice out there, my 26inch MTB is my main
commute bike so I have tyres appropriate for that use, mainly Big Apples
which are generally fairly robust though have slashed two rears over last 5
years, one a glass strike to the side wall the other a nail again to the
sidewall.
While arguably obsolete still perfectly useable and so on
