So while 26inch bikes are hard to find sold, though are
used by trikes and
so on, is still some some choice out there,
I don't see any shortage of 26 inch tires online:
<https://bicyclewarehouse.com/collections/26-inch-bike-tires>
Their catalog shows 210 tires in 26 inch including 130
tires under
$50:

Is 26 inch hard to find only in retail?
_good_ 26" tires are getting harder to find.
I hadn't noticed.

Smoke and dart are by design old and bar looks aren’t a good choice if your
going to actually go MTBing I remember them and similar and how they really
don’t like wet off camber rooty stuff! Bike tyres have moved on by some
margin since their time.
Kenda really aren’t a big player at all in the MTB world, even Continental
is bigger, and certainly the probability of seeing a Kenda MTB tyre in the
woods being used is rather low, need to look at
Maxxis/Schwable/Specialised/Bontrager/WTB and so on.
