I know one of your recurring themes is "Laws don't work." A more intelligent claim would be "Laws don't work 100% of the time."
c.f. the States and cities with the most restrictive firearms regulation enjoy excessive rates of forearm violence.
But the countries with more restrictive firearms regulations (including mechanisms to restrict firearms entering the country) _do_ have far less firearm violence.
