    It has been 8 days since I ordered some parts from LA and even the tracking isn't working. I ordered a bleeding kit for the hydraulic brakes fom Reno. It shows that I should be receiving it on the 20th from outside of Las Vegas! It is takiing six days to get a letter sized package from Golden, Co.

Could be USPS but it could also be the shipper's internal delay.  When you click the tracking link it should show the date and time of acceptance into the system. That can be a day or two or more after your purchase while the order is processed, printed, picked and packed.
