I didn't use the word "coward" until Mr. Tricycle Rider went on the attack, then went on and on about his need to carry a loaded and chambered handgun on a quiet bike trail where young mothers walk pushing baby carriages.
Yes, the word was not diplomatic, but it still seems accurate. He is clearly more fearful than anyone else in this discussion group, and than any of my many dozens of cycling friends.
If you don't like "coward," substitute the synonym you prefer.
