A knife wound through an artery would NOT appear at autopsy,
Asfixia with a plastic bag, ditto, or even strangulation as long as
the hyoid bone was not fractured.
The body had been decomposing for 24 days when it was found.
Insect and rodent activity + decomp would have covered up most signs
of foul play.
Not all trauma breaks bones...
