Yow. My sympathies! I've had very close calls, but no
impacts with deer.
 

 
I drive a lot in western Wisconsin on county roads.  The
suicide venison bombs come down the hills and across the
road in a blink.

 
I drove a lot there too, and had a few close calls, several times on
motorcycles. Luckily, I never hit one. I did, not too long ago almost
hit, or rather got hit by a deer on the Catrike here in Florida

One of my colleagues back in the day of bike lights being feeble things,
managed to run into one of the Red Deer in the Royal parks, they are large
deer, and seem to have light absorbing coats!

Described it as hitting a wall that someone had attached a wet smelly rug
to!
