You, Liebermann and Flunky have continually berated me for "pretending" to have a real engineering degree without a degree.

lol..a couple of gems to unpack there
- you don't have an engineering degree, and you've never pretended to
have one.
Tom claimed to "have an engineering degree" several times. However,
there's no indication if the degree or diploma he claims to have were
the result of a college education, diploma mill, downloaded from the
interent, or a product of his amazing imagination.

Ah, I don't recall him ever stating his degree was in engineering,
Well, Tom did claim that he "read out" 3 public libraries, one
military library, and an unspecified number of books:

"I would warrant that I've read more than 20 times more books than you
have. I read out three public libraries, the military library and all
of the books I used to gain the knowledge to become an engineer."
Sometime later, I calculated how many engineering books were available
for Tom to read.
Then, there was a rather odd discussion where Tom claimed to have
attended Cal Maritime academy, which requires living on campus for 4
years. Tom also had a problem wrongly locating the academy in Marin
instead of Vallejo.
I'll look for the relevant quotes later, as time permits.
Also, I could use a favor. Since Google groups stopped archiving RBT,
I've been using:
https://rec.bicycles.tech.narkive.comto provide URL that point to Tom's mistakes. Narkive didn't work very
well. You found an alternative archive site for RBT. I used it, it
worked, but now I can't find it again. Help?
but I
do remember the claim about Tality. Incidently, A feat which he
accomplished in 4 years while working full time (also while always the
first one there in the morning and the last one to leave at night) at
that company which I believe only employed him for 4 years.

It begs the question of how he got an engineering degree if he never
went to college for engineering. That's a rhetorical question, I
actually don't care.
If all Tom wants is a piece of paper that says he's an engineer, there
are plenty of diploma mills and downloadable degrees available. For
example:

Hmmm... Tom should also obtain a high school diploma:

It's a sextant, not a sexton.
