I bought a CR (long arm) Ultrgra rear derailleur. It's and 11 speed but
unlike the 12 speed the pull ratio is the same as the 10 speed.

What's more, the spring on the arm is much lighter than the GRX. The
levers are also very tight so I've bought a set of Ultegra levers that
will be here in a couple of days and I have an 11 speed cassette laying
around so I will install those. They should bleed very easy since I will
go from the bottom up. All of the air is out of the system now, so I only
have to fill the levers. I left enough room on the hoses to replace the olives.

Re the spring on the GRX if you have the clutch on it will be stiff as well
intended to stop chain slap, for road use, rather than Gravel not a whole
lot of reason to have it engaged, it?s also much easier to get wheels out
with the clutch off as the mech will move around easier.

Either the clutch doesn't work on mine or it has no effect. But maybe it
isn't releasing since the position doesn't seem to move. I had another
derailleur with a clutch on it and it had a very positive CLICK. This one
seems to move but not much and there's no click.

I have GRX and Deore and Cues all have clutches and none click! The “cheap”
old school bike has Sora which being a budget road group set is clutch
free.

On road I can’t imagine many folks would notice if the clutch is on or off,
unless it’s an unpaved road or cobbled road ie you’d hear chain slap with
it off!

My Ultegra levers are due in two days and I wouold let go of the GRX 10
speed stuff real cheap. This is levers and front and rear derailleurs for $75 and shipping.

I will say this - the 12 mm through axles are really nice except for
releasing quickly. Both wheels are perfectly centered.
