In actual fact, one of the bigger problems caused by bicycle helmets are
laws that force cyclists to wear those bicycle helmets. Those enforcing
these laws don't care about your opinion stated above.
 

Indeed it really shouldn’t be legislative, I do wonder how and why
countries have devoted time to making it a law!
