With the new firmware in the Garmin 830, it shows that my average moving
speed was 10.5 mph when with the onld it showed 8 or so over many rides.
It also reports that my max speed was 22 mph. There must be part of my
body that doesn't hurt this morning but it is evident. Remember, this is
after 2 months unable to ride.
Garmin edge 830 last firmware update was 9.75 over two years ago, is a
public 9.81 beta but even that?s over a year old and hasn?t moved to a
general release.
Gets time zone updates now and then. Uk is in summer time zone so has had a
time zone update.
In short you?re mistaken.
I rode continuously in January Yesterday Garmin Express tells me there is
an update which I download and it takes several minutes. The new update
has features that the old one didn't have such as having moving averages
and that feature kicks my speed average up on a slow recovery ride from
my stroke 2.5 mph and - wait for it - I'm mistaken.
Now perhaps you'd like to hazard a guess as to how I am mistaken?
Neither the stable build or beta have had any updates bar a time zone
update few days ago.
No new features have been added this is a you thing as ever.
