Unfortunately you are all too correct. Flunky, Liebermann and Krygowski have been using the useless definition "has a degree in engineering".

The greatest detail you've given about any of your work was on programming motion control for a tabletop device to drip solutions into test tubes, or something similar. Programming motion control is technician level work, not engineering.
