 USS Gettysburg shot down a fighter from her own carrier group (USS Truman) in the Biden administration in December.
 Then USS Truman lost two fighters overboard (one from sliding tow vehicle in April, one landing arrest failure in May.) in the 2d Trump administration.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to blame incidents like these on whichever administration is in office. The recent incidents on the USS Truman for example may have been incompetence or some other failure of equipment that wasn't _reasonably_ foreseeable or preventable. Without access to the Root Cause Failure Analysis we can only speculate. As much as I consider the existence of trump in the US white house to be an existential threat to the US, he had nothing to do with what happened on the USS Truman.
